WHAT IS THE MARK "TEX" ADAMS MEMORIAL TT MAYHEM?

A racing event to honor Mark "TEX" Adams who lost his life January 26th 2012. Mark was Johnny Lewis' first ever Factory KTM mechanic that was assigned to Johnny prior to his 2005 pro debut in the AMA Pro Supermoto Championship. Mark and Johnny actually met for the first time here in Ocala Florida where they spent a week testing some KTM 450s at the Ocala supermoto track and also at Marion County Speedway to prepare for the 2005 season.

 

Johnny Lewis decided to host the only TT race in Florida for riders in all classes to compete for the #1 plate that they will be encouraged to return with in 2017.  Johnny also added one of the most challenging TT races ever, a 100 lap, all out, Pro/Am race. YES that's 100 laps! - a normal AMA Pro Flat Track race is only 25 laps. Riders will be going as hard as they can for over 40 minutes for the Mark "TEX" Adams Memorial awards, Mark wouldn't have wanted it any other way! Find a teammate and also race the Mini-bike Reverse TT Buddy Race: 30 laps, 2 riders, 1 mandatory switch of riders!
